My Aha Moment
In 2018, while watching a TV news program where the host was encouraging everyone to yell and argue with each other, I found myself disappointed with what was being passed off as news. I changed the channel hoping to find something better. Sadly, the same thing was happening on the next channel, and the next, and the next. When did yelling and arguing become a substitute for news? How could anyone hope to learn about the world around us in a meaningful way if this was the new standard? Frustrated I sat back on the couch and thought, "How can we achieve anything meaningful if we are always at each others throats?" Then it came to me, we need to find a way to make Americans friends again before we can move on to try to solve our common problems - get back to a place of mutual respect and communication.
That moment moved me. It inspired me to create Make Americans Friends Again apparel. This isn't a political message its a call to action for all Americans. If this resonates with you we would love to hear from you! Welcome friends!
The "Make" part of the the slogan isn't easy. So much angst and frustration at a variety of things real and imagined from every direction. If wearing a shirt or drinking from a mug that reminds even one person a day in every city and town then the hard work will have been worth it.
